Christine Stephen-Daly

House Of Saddam

Playing Saddam Hussein’s mistress was never going to be easy, and actress Christine Stephen-Daly found it her most challenging role yet.

Christine — who shot to fame as Lara Stone in Casualty and went on to have parts in Cutting It and as a drug baroness in The Bill — is starring as Saddam’s lover and second wife Samira Shahbandar in BBC2’s adaptation of the dictator’s extraordinary life.

‘I didn’t know how I was going to pass myself off as an Iraqi woman as I’m blonde!’ she says.

Trinny & Susannah

Trinny And Susannah Undress The Nation

After stripping naked in The Great British Body earlier this year, there’s no stopping Trinny Woodall and Susannah Constantine. The pair will bare all again in Undress The Nation, which returns for a second series on ITV1 this week. The duo are tackling five more style issues facing women and, not surprisingly, bottoms loom large!

Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes

This Morning

Food, film, and footy all feature in Eamonn Holmes and partner Ruth Langsford’s favourite things, which they discuss with TVQuick. Eamonn also reveals his love of cars.

‘I love a car with a sexy backside. I’m also quite obsessive about clean cars. I walked past a presenter’s car recently and it was disgusting inside. I had to phone him and say, "This is absolutely scandalous",' he says.

‘He hides these horrible air fresheners in my car that I hate,’ adds Ruth.

Shaun Parkes

Harley Street

Shaun Parkes, who plays Harley Street’s Dr Ekkow Obiang, talks TV and recalls his first TV appearance.

‘I think it was in Casualty in 1994. In those days I was scared to watch myself because I didn’t know how I was going to look or sound,’ he says.

Martin Jarvis

The Bill

Martin Jarvis is probably best known for voicing the Just William stories on radio but this week he pops up in Sun Hill as gay classic car dealer Leslie, who is involved in a nasty accident. Nikki and Will race to the scene where Leslie is pinned to the driver’s seat by a scaffolding pole. It quickly becomes apparent though that this was no accident…
